George Edward Fouquet

George Edward Fouquet, age 76, of Stillwater passed away suddenly, Monday afternoon, June 22, 2009 at the Stillwater Medical Center.
Mr. Fouquet was born on June 1, 1933 in Oklahoma the son of Leon and Stella (Albright) Fouquet. He moved to Stillwater in the late 1970s and formerly owned and operated an Oil Well Drilling Company in Sapulpa and also owned and operated the G & J Recycling Company in Stillwater. He enjoyed fishing, farming, gardening and being the head man. He was affiliated with the Baptist Church.
George is survived by 2 sons, Floyd Fouquet of Stillwater, George Leon Helfrich of LasVegas, Nevada;3 stepsons, Glenn Hyatt of Grand Junction, Colorado, Dale Wallace of Woodward and Nick Westbrook of Stillwater; 2 daughters, Dorothy Fouquet of Stillwater and Patricia Ann Hurst of Omaha, Arkansas; step daughter, Ruby Martin of Woodward, Oklahoma; 1 brother, Willard E. Fouquet of Texas; 2 sisters, Sharline Avera of South Dakota, Dorothy Kelin of Flippin, Arkansas; 24 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Evelyn Turner.
His funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater and will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009 in the Chapel of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. Wednesday until 8 p.m. and from 8 a.m. Thursday until 8 p.m.
