George Ray Jeep Murray age 53 of Stillwater passed away early Tuesday morning, February 12, 2008 at the Stillwater Medical Center.
Mr. Murray was born on May 21, 1954 in Cushing, Oklahoma the son of Oscar Murray and Vera Lee Mackneal Murray. He grew up and attended school in both Cushing and Stillwater. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Stillwater and worked as a laborer at several different places in Stillwater. He enjoyed life in general.
Jeep is survived by a son, Stanley Linzy of Stillwater; a daughter, Charlotta Linzy of Denver, Colorado; six brothers, Oce Mackneal, Paul Mackneal of Denver, Zimmerie Mackneal of Wichita, Kansas, Gerald Cheetah of Portland, Oregon, Timothy Cheetah of Long Beach, California, Oscar Laron Miller, Jr. of Billings, Montana; one sister, Zelma Spotwood of Denver; two grandchildren, Dermaine Arnett, Jr. and Heaven Louise Nichole Boyd; numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2008 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Stillwater with Pastor Miller officiating. Friends may visit from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday at the Palmer-Marler-Carberry Funeral Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer-Marler-Carberry Funeral Home of Stillwater, Oklahoma.
