Gerald Irwin Gary Spencer

Funeral services for Gerald Irwin "Gary" Spencer, age 85, of Stillwater, OK are scheduled for 10:00 am Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the Palmer-Marler-Carberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Booth, nephew of Mr. Spencer, officiating. Services are under the direction of Palmer-Marler-Carberry Funeral Home. Mr. Spencer was born on September 4, 1922 to H.E. and Neva (Gleason) Spencer in Meade, KS. He grew up and attended school in the Hutchinson, KS area. His family later moved to Shreveport, Louisiana where he later graduated from Byrd High School in May of 1942. He entered the United States Air Force in September of 1942 where he was served as a pilot in WWII flying a C47 plane, stationed in Cairo, Egypt. Mr. Spencer served active duty for 3 years. He met Mary Booth and married her on September 15, 1962 in Marshall, TX. His hobbies included bowling, fishing, horseback riding, traveling and boating. The highlights of his life were his daughters, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his military background. Mr. Spencer passed from this life to be with his Lord and Savior on February 1,2008 in Stillwater, OK. He is survived by: Wife: Mary of the home. 3 Daughters: Sherry Penrod and husband Larry of Arvada, CO Susie Sexton and husband Micah of Stillwater, OK Pam Mowery and husband Brad of Owasso, OK Grandchildren: Abby and Audrey Sexton of Stillwater, OK Jason Penrod and wife Libby of Shawnee, KS Justin Penrod and wife len of Golden, CO.
