Glenda was born on September 14, 1929 in Perry, Oklahoma. She was raised and attended schools in the Perry area. Glenda spent several years working at Dr. Franciss office and waitressing at the Corner Lunch Restaurant. In 1945, Glenda married Howard Kendle. The couple had four children: Terry, Alan, Gemma, and Nick.
In the early 1980s, Glenda relocated to Casa Grande, AZ to be near her son Nick. In the late 1980s, the family moved to Las Vegas, NV, but returned to Casa Grande, AZ a few years later. Glenda was very active in Casa Grande, attending the local Church of Christ, a church womens group, and many bible studies. In 2007, Glenda returned to Oklahoma and settled at the Legacy Park Apartments in Stillwater.
Glenda Kendle loved life. She enjoyed fishing and tending to her garden. She was a wonderful cook and was never happier than when she was cooking a meal to enjoy with her family. Glenda had an infectious smile and she loved to laugh. You didnt have to be around her long before you knew how much she loved the Lord. She had a caring and giving heart and a positive attitude. Even after a difficult diagnosis, Glenda kept her cheerful spirit and beautiful smile.
Her 82 years of life can be described in a few short words: deep faith, unconditional love, and joyous laughter. Glenda was a wonderful mother, a proud grandmother, a faithful Christian, and a loyal friend. She left her mark on many lives and will truly be missed by those whom she touched.
She is survived by her daughter, Gemma Loveless. Two sons: Nick W. Kendle and Alan J. Kendle. A sister: Peggy Brady. A brother: Bill Webb. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
