Blair Glenn Anthony, 65, of Stillwater passed from this life June 20, 2009 at his home in Stillwater, OK. Funeral services will be held at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 23rd with interment at Fairlawn Cemetery. Please note that the service time has been changed from its original time of 2:00pm to the new time of 10am. on June 23, 2009. The Anthony family would appreciate your assistance in disseminating this information to Glenns friends. OSUPD will serve as casket bearers, and Stillwater PD will serve as honorary casket bearers.
Glenn was born January 27, 1944, in Los Angeles, California, to Blair Glenn and Josephine Manno Anthony. Glenn was united in marriage to Laura Ann Cruse on August 4, 1965 in Elisabethtown, KY. They have three children, Joseph Glenn, Donna Marie and Michelle Renee Anthony.
Glenn could be called a true patriot, having served his country from 1961 until 1982 where he served three tours of duty in Europe, one tour in Vietnam, and one tour in Korea, all with the Army Infantry. He was awarded numerous citations and commendations, including 5 Purple Hearts. After his retirement from the Army in 1982, Glenn went to work teaching for the ROTC program at OSU. Glenn later joined the Oklahoma State University Police Department. His career with the OSUPD included being a firearms instructor, certified mental health trainer, lake patrol officer, and he received training as a bombs search officer. In 1987, Glenn was promoted to the rank of of Sergeant, and to Lieutenant in 2004. Upon his retirement in from OSUPD in 2006, Glenn worked as security at Highland Park Elementary School.
Glenn attended Lakeview Community Church. He loved music of all kinds from classical to oldies, photography, videography, reading, and poetry. Glenn also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially going fishing and cooking with his grandchildren.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. He is survived by his beloved wife, Laura Ann, of the home, one son , Joseph Glenn, two daughters, Donna Marie Zamskie and Michelle Renee Anthony, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of Stillwater, OK
