Gleynn Dale Masters passed away peacefully at his home in Morrison, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family. He was 78. Cremation services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.
Gleynn was born March 8, 1941 in Wellington, Kansas to Bill and Iola June (Washburn) Masters. At a very young age his family moved to Perry, Oklahoma where Gleynn attended school. When Gleynn turned 16 he joined the Navy in 1957.
On July 30, 1969 Gleynn married Brenda Bryant in Osage County. Gleynn made his home in Ralston, Oklahoma for the next 50 years until his health began to fail him and he moved to Morrison to be closer to his daughter Judy and his grandchildren.
Gleynn loved the outdoors. He enjoyed raising and riding horses on the family farm in Ralston. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed. He was one of the best “Papa’s” around.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his daughter, Judy Nichols of Morrison, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, B.J. Tucker and wife Elizabeth, Dusti Beier and husband Travis, and Buddy Nichols and wife Amy all of Morrison, Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren, Aleigh, Maci, Tynlee, Brylee, and Jaxon; Siblings, larry Masters and wife Barbara of Enid, Oklahoma, Sherry DuBois and husband Jim of Colcord, Oklahoma, Willie Masters and wife Patty of Morrison, Oklahoma, Stella Deeds of Garber, Oklahoma, and Linda Jefferson. He was preceded by his wife and parents.
