Gloria Ann Moon Cazzelle, 62, of Stillwater passed from this life on May 17, 2015 with her family by her side. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home, and a service celebrating her life will be held at Mehan Union Church at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015. Public visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 20, from Noon to 8 p.m., and the family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
Gloria Ann Moon was born on Sept 29, 1952 in Stillwater, OK. She spent her grade school years attending Catholic school before transferring to C.E. Donart High School where she graduated in 1970. The next year, she married the love of her life, Tony Cazzelle, at St. Johns Catholic Church in Stillwater. In the early years of their marriage, Ann operated a home daycare center. In 1985, she made the decision to become a hair stylist, and she spent the next 25 years working at One Cut Above salon in Stillwater. She was an accomplished hair stylist who loved creating intricate up-dos for prom and weddings. The highlight of her career was having two formal hairstyles nationally published in the Inspire Salon hair publication. Styling hair was truly her passion, and even after she was diagnosed with renal cancer in 2013, she still managed to make it to the salon to serve her loyal clientele.
As a supportive coachs wife, Ann grew to love sports. She was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Oklahoma State University, or any team that her sons Zac and Cory were playing on. She was full of pride for her sons athletic accomplishments Zacs collegiate athletic career at Centenary College of Louisiana and Oklahoma State, and Corys collegiate athletic career at Missouri Southern. Her daughter Heathers nursing career was also a source of immense pride, and she relied on her tremendously as her illness advanced. In her spare time, Ann enjoyed planting flowers in her garden and spoiling her dog, Emma.
A dedicated wife and mother, Ann loved her children and husband unconditionally. She was known for her positive outlook on life, and she always had encouraging words for loved ones. Her family and friends knew they could rely on her during challenging times to offer sound advice, share a laugh, or listen without judgment. Ann Cazzelle was a wonderful, effervescent woman whose smile was contagious. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents: Nelson F. and Gloria Ann Moon. She is survived by her husband Tony Cazzelle of the home. Three children: Christopher Corbin Cazzelle and wife Brandee of Stillwater, Zachary Adam Cazzelle and wife Sarah of Stillwater, and Heather Dawn Cazzelle Phillips and husband Patrick of Cushing. 7 grandchildren: Arianne Elizabeth Cazzelle, Tyler Eugene Cazzelle, Makenna Elaine Cazzelle, Hunter Dax Hall, Brooklyn Dayz Cazzelle, Luke Joshua Cazzelle, and Augustus Jack Gus Cazzelle. She was also preceded in death by Donna Peaden Beason and Vivian Gibson, both part of her One Cut Above Merle Norman family; she is survived by her remaining One Cut Above Merle Norman friends who she cherished dearly.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Cynthia Redding, Dr. Cathy Neiman, Dr. Gregory Parker, Dr. Cara Pence, and the staff and a special technician, Jose Gonzalez, at Stillwater Fresenius Medical Care for their kindness and compassion during Anns illness.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Anns name to the American Kidney Fund or the Stillwater Humane Society in care of Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home 5106 N. Washington, Stillwater, OK 74075.
