Gracie Avinell Robinson, a cherished resident of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the age of 89. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.
Avinell was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. John Hurschel and Gracie (Jester) Burch. She was born October 4, 1935 in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma where she attended school and lived until she married Gale James Robinson on June 8, 1955. They soon moved to Stillwater where Gale was from. There they made their home and began their little family.
Most of her working career was as a professional housekeeper for several executives around town. She was one of the best. Avinell was of the nondenominational faith and came from a family who loved to sing. She had a passion for home decorating, hosting gatherings, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her two daughters, Nelda Driggs (Bobbie) of Stillwater, OK., and Tamra Miller of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Jason Cavett of Morrison, OK., Benjamin Cavett (Leslie) of South Fork, CO., Zachary Cavett (Ashley) of Glencoe, OK., Candice Ewy (Randy) of Stillwater, OK., Bobbie Jo Renfro (Harvey) of Stillwater, OK., Joshua Stephens of Broken Arrow, OK., Paul Miller of Cushing, OK., Farrah Davis (Joseph) of Belton, TX., Daneen O'Brien (Andrew) of Phoenix, AZ., Megan Zachary (Tyler) of Oklahoma City, OK., Payton Robinson of Fort Stewart, GA., and Shanden Miller of Broken Arrow, OK; 30 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; four brothers, Eugene, Dale, Eldon, and Garland; one sister, Veleta; and son-in-law, Stephen Miller.
