Harold “Curly” Meeks, 95, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019 at his home in Stillwater. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Dighton Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwter. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry. Dighton Marler Funeral Home of Perry is in charge of arrangements.
Harold was born on November 14, 1923 in Crescent, Oklahoma to Samuel Meeks and Etta Gore. He grew up in Crescent, Oklahoma. Curly joined the USAF and attained the rank of Master Sargent.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, one son John Meeks and one sister Francis Brooks.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn (Shea) Meeks, his children Larry Meeks and his wife Debbie of Skiatook, Ok., Kevin Meeks and his wife Donna OF Missouri, Carla Meeks of Stillwater, Ok. and Bill Meeks and his wife Wendi of Stillwater, Ok. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jennifer Meeks, Keith Meeks, Cody Meeks, Kelly Meeks, Tracie Pavatt, Joey Meeks, Austin Martin, Blake Meeks, Brent Meeks and Whitney Meeks, as well as 14 great grandchildren.
