Heather Rayna Marquez

Heather Rayna (Hampton) Marquez passed away at her home in Stillwater, OK on Sunday, December 11, 2016. She was 31. Services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater. A celebration of Heathers life is scheduled for 1pm Friday, December 16, 2016 at Mehan Union Church in Stillwater, OK. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 9am to 8pm Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Family will receive guests from 6pm to 8pm.
She was born September 9, 1985 in Stillwater, OK to Darroyl and Katherine (Hampton) Garrett. She attended Stillwater public schools, and graduated high school in 2005. She lived all her life in the Stillwater area. Heather later met and married Manuel Marquez, and to this union, her two children, Baylee and Carter were born. After that union was dissolved, she met Mark Apperson, who she loved very much.
Playing on snap chat, looking at facebook, and taking the kids to the water park in the summer were some of the things that brought great joy to her life. The greatest loves of her life were her children, Baylee and Carter, and her fur babies, Peaches, Ana, Elsa, and Jingles. She was lucky to have shared birthdays with her aunt Patricia Reid aka "Crazy Missy Garrett". Heathers dream was to become a Registered Nurse some day.
Heather is survived by her daughter, Baylee Marquez and her son, Carter Marquez both of the home. Her significant other, Mark Apperson of the home; father, Darroyl Garrett and significant other Dorothy Fields; mother, Katherine Hampton and significant other Chad Beasley; Two sisters, Tamra Garrett and significant other Matthew McVey, and Amber Garrett and significant other Ricky Aguirre; Two step-brothers, Larry Reed and Tracy Reed; step-sister, B.J. Soap; Paternal grandmother, Marlene Garrett; Maternal grandparents, Jerry and Virginia Rose; Five nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Archie Garrett, Sr.; Paternal great-grandmother, Mary Kuykendall; maternal great-grandmother, Maxine Treat; uncle, Donnie Budzene; and nephew, Wyatt Louis Garrett.
