Henry Leon Dale

Henry Leon "Grady" Dale, 77, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at his home in Perry. A gathering for the family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Perry from 2-4 p.m. Palmer Marler Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Leon was born on December 27, 1939 in Guthrie, Ok to James D. Dale Jr. and Aletha Adkins. He grew up in Perry and went to Blaine High School and Perry High School. After high school he joined the United States Navy. He married Cherlyn Hall on September 3, 1987 in Stillwater, Ok. Leon was a very kind, gentle and most compassionate man. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He set an amazing example of kindness. He was loved by many and will be missed, especially by his beloved dog, Gibbs. Leon was a huge car enthusiast and enjoyed working on cars. He owned and operated Dale"s Auto for 40 years. Leon is preceded in death by his father James D. Dale, Jr. and mother Aletha Adkins and one brother Harold Dale. Leon is survived by his wife Cherlyn K. Dale, his children, Vincent Dale and his wife Carey; Kelly Dale; Chris Dale and his wife Melissa; Melody Breedlove; Matt Mitchell and his wife Cindy and Mark Mitchell. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Bryan Tull, Cody Tull, Payton Dale, Ashton Mitchell, Drake Dale, Niara Howard, Dalton Mitchell, Jersey Mitchell, Brandon Breedlove, Courtney Breedlove, and Evan "Boog" Dale and one great grandchild, Jaxon Tull.
