Henry Bob Robert Moore, 74, formerly of Grandview Dr. Latham, NY passed away on Thursday, January 31st, 2008 at his home on W. Lakeview Rd., Stillwater, OK with his family by his side. Born September 4, 1933 in New Jersey, he was the only son of the late Henry L.D. and Anna W. Moore. As a child Bob was educated in the Ticonderoga school district before moving and graduating from Greenwich High School in Washington County, NY where he met and married his devoted wife of 51 years, Joan Cordner Moore on March 02, 1957. In 1953 he honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean War. Following his discharge on March 31, 1961, he worked with his father at Moores Agway of South Troy, NY. Bob eventually left his fathers business to seek employment with the Ford Motor Company, formerly of Green Island, NY. Upon his retirement in 1981, Bobs greatest pleasure was the many trips he and his wife, Joan, made to visit friends and family in Stillwater, Oklahoma. In the Fall of 2005, Bob and Joan chose to call Stillwater, Oklahoma their home. It was in Stillwater that Bob was recently taken ill. Mr. Moore was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 930, Veterans of Foreign Wars #259, American Legion Post #927 of Green Island, NY, Elks Lodge #1500 and Ancient Order of the Hibernians of Watervliet, NY, Moose Lodge #2089 of Stillwater, OK and a past social member of the Knights of Columbus #3394 of Latham, NY. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore was predeceased by his infant son, Stephen Edward Moore. Survivors in addition to his wife, include his beloved children, Henry Hank R. Moore, Jr and wife, Nicole and son Isaac, of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Therese Terri Moore Roberts and husband, Fred of Latham; three grandchildren, Stephen Roberts of Latham, Tara Roberts of Steubenville, Ohio and Erica Roberts of Latham; a cousin, Paula Hackett of Arlington VA, and several nieces and nephews. Bob also leaves behind his canine companion, Skooter. Bobs family would like to extend their thanks to Sherry, Ron, Kaye and all their dear Okie friends who have embraced him with love and friendship. In addition Dr. Gene Hoyt, Dr. Cummings, Dr Kathleen Harder and the 3rd floor nursing staff of Stillwater Medical Center, his caregiver Tiffany, and all the dedicated individuals of the Judith Karman Hospice for the constant and compassionate care provided during Bobs illness. The family invites friends for a memorial service to be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2008 at the Palmer-Marler-Carberry Funeral Home Chapel. Final interment will be held privately.
