Jacquelyn Rae Bounds

Jacquelyn (Jackie) Bounds died peacefully on April 5, 2025, in Crescent, Oklahoma at the age of 78.

Jackie is survived by her daughter and numerous additional family members all of whom loved her very much. She is preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, and husband.

Jackie was born in Edmond, OK. She graduated from C.E. Donart High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1965. Over the years, she worked as a Real Estate Agent, Bookkeeper, Medical Office Manager, Notary, Property Manager, and most notably as the Executive Assistant to the Director of the National Science Foundation in Washington, D.C. and Arlington, VA. Throughout her lifetime she lived in many places across the US including Georgia, New Mexico, Kansas, Missouri, and Virginia, but she always called Crescent, Oklahoma home.

Jackie was a devout Christian and enjoyed living in the countryside, drinking coffee while enjoying a picturesque Oklahoma sunrise, and trail rides with friends. She was a member of the Crescent Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. Jackie will be remembered for her feistiness, her sense of humor, and generosity.

A brief graveside service will be held at the Oakland Knowles Cemetery on April 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Dress is casual; there will be no reception. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Crescent Volunteer Fire Department (City Hall, PO Box 561, Crescent, OK 73028) or the Frontier Country Museum (PO Box 856, Crescent, OK 73028).
