James Edward Carr, a natural-born mechanic with an exceptional ability to fix anything with a motor, passed away on August 1, 2024, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Born on March 5th, 1962, in Elk City, Oklahoma, James was a skilled individual who attended community college in his youth to refine his talents, eventually becoming a genius with tools. His mechanical prowess was renowned, and he was revered for his incredible skills in his craft. Additionally, James displayed remarkable talent as a musician, showcasing his multifaceted abilities.

Throughout his life, James resided in various places but settled in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where he spent his remaining years. He leaves behind a legacy of ingenuity and creativity that will be remembered by all who knew him. James' impact extended beyond his mechanical abilities, touching the lives of many through his music and warm personality.

A Funeral Service to honor and celebrate the life of James Edward Carr will take place on August 14, 2024, at the Stillwater - Dighton Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma, starting at 2:00, followed by interment at the Sunset Memorial Gardens at 3:00.

James is survived by his five daughters, Kara, Krystal, Amanda, Tamra, and Ana, and his three sons, Camron, Sean, and Chris. He took great pride in his role as a grandfather to eleven grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy. In addition, James is survived by his brother, Chris Carr.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James Carr and Sondra West. His presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends, as well as the community he was a part of.
