James Ernest Reynolds

James Ernest Reynolds, 88, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 in Perry, Oklahoma. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Pawnee Church of Christ at 10:00 a.m. in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Garden in Stillwater at 2:00 p.m. Public viewing will begin on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9-7:30 with the family greeting friends from 6-7:30 p.m. at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Perry. Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Perry is entrusted with arrangements. James was born on August 16, 1928 to Forest Harry and Stella Alice (Cawood) Reynolds in Stillwater. James grew up in Stillwater and graduated from Stillwater High School in 1946. James joined the United States Army in 1950 serving in Korea and was honorably discharged in 1952. He married Mary Lou Renick on December 23, 1950 and they had three beautiful daughters. James loved to work, it was one of his hobbies. James started working for Campus Cleaners at the age of 17 and eventually bought Campus Cleaners in 1962. He was a member of the Lions Club in Morrison, Oklahoma and a long standing member of the Church of Christ. After he closed Campus Cleaners he went to work at Wal-Mart in Stillwater and worked there until he was 87 years old. James is preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou, his parents and one sister Anita Rundell. He is survived by his three daughters; Lynda Tweedy and her husband Walter, Rebecca Grau and her husband Richard and Lou Ann Hunt and her husband Ed, seven grandchildren; Lisa Baker, Chris Tweedy, Randy Grau, Jennifer Simpson, April Thieme, Ruston Grau and Ross Webb, as well as fourteen great grandchildren. Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Tipton Children"s Home care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home PO Box 189, Perry, Ok 73077.
