James Witt

James Leonard Witt, 62, went to be with the Lord on May 31, 2011. Graveside services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home and will be held at 9:00 a.m. on June 2, 2011 in the Bethel Cemetery near Glencoe with Pastor Paul Anderson. For directions please call (405)372-1811. James was born on September 30, 1948 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Leonard Paul Witt and Eva Lena (Malloy) Witt. He worked for many years with the Oklahoma State Department of Transportation as a driver and equipment operator. On June 5, 1995 he married Jane (Brown) Witt in Miami, Oklahoma. In his spare time James enjoyed reading his Bible, fishing, and camping. His greatest love, however, was spending time with his three grandchildren.
James is survived by his wife Jane of the home; son-in-law Daniel Kinkade of Chandler, daughter Christa Kinkade; sister Floretta D. (Witt) Blevins of Ingalls, Kansas; and brother-in-law Bill Blevins; and three grandchildren. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by half brother Henry Hudson. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Judith Karmen Hospice or Sunnybrook Christian Church in care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.
