September 8, 1974 — November 8, 2016

Jami Dean Germain, age 42, of Stillwater, OK, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 in Tulsa, OK surrounded by her loving husband Phillip. Funeral services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral home of Stillwater, OK.

Jami was born September 8, 1974 in Chandler, OK to James Homer Harris and Gloria Nadine (Paxton) Harris. After a short stay in Alaska, Jami and her family moved to Cushing, OK where she attended public school. She graduated from Cushing High School in 1992. She attended East Central University before transferring to Oklahoma State University. Jami graduated from OSU in 1997 with her Bachelors degree in Family Relations and Child Development.
Jami taught at the OSU Child Development Laboratories from 1998 to 2004, and then at Sangre Ridge Elementary from 2004 until her passing. Jami welcomed everyone in her classroom with open arms and a big infectious smile. She made learning fun by providing hands on activities and fun special days, like dressing up as a pirate. She loved each child as her own.
On April 26, 2008, Jami and Phillip were married here in Stillwater. They enjoyed their Love of the Lord and sharing it with others. They also loved traveling to Disney World, Galveston, TX, and various other places visiting family and friends all over the U.S.
She has so many wonderful friends that will miss her bling, leopard sweaters, humor, sparkles & flip flops, her imitations of Mary Catherine Gallegar, Mary Poppins, Wizard of Oz, Young and the Restless, and her absolute love of life.
Jami is survived by her husband, Phillip of the home; 2 aunts, Pauline Harris Gillaspy of California, Phyllis Curtis of Missouri; her in-laws, Ron and Sandra Germain of Nevada; brother-in-law, Patrick Germain and wife B.J. of Colorado and their children, Jen Germain, and James Germain both of Washington; very close cousins, Cathy Duncan and Lauren Dawsen of Texas; and a host of cousins who are very dear to her heart.
Jami was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Eugene & Hazel Herrmann, and Fred & Eva Harris; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Phillip would love to express his thankfulness for all the outpouring of love, prayers, and support from family, church family, SPS family, friends and all her students during Jamis brief illness.
Memorial donations may be made to Stillwater Public Education Foundation or Hope for Jami Fund in c/o Palmer Marler Funeral Home, 5106 N. Washington, Stillwater, OK. 74075.
