Janet Womack

Janet Lavigne Womack, 83, long time Stillwater resident, passed away on July 7, 2022, at her home in south of Stillwater. A public memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM on September 24th, 2022, at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home Chapel.

Janet was born to Jean and Elizabeth Lavigne in 1938. She earned a bachelor’s degree and worked for Oklahoma State University for 43 years. Janet was always very proud to have been a part of OSU. She married Bill Womack, and together they crafted a wonderful life in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Janet was no stranger to hard work. She loved animals and the ranch life. In pursuing those passions, she with her husband Bill, raised and showed registered quarter horses and built an impressive Angus cattle operation.

Janet is preceded in death by her father, Jean, her mother, Elizabeth, her sister Andrea, and her husband Bill. Janet is survived by her brother, Gene, his wife, and his three sons.
