Janice Swink

Janice Louise Swink, 72, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in Stillwater, OK surrounded by family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 in Coldwater, Kansas at the First Christian Church at 1:00 PM.
Janice was born on September 8, 1943 in Coldwater, KS to Glenn and Tressie (Lipe) Atteberry. Janice and her family moved to Protection, Kansas, where she attended school and graduated from Protection High School.
Janice loved spending time with her family, especially taking them out to dinner. She also could be found enjoying time outside on her patio, and working in her yard. She loved traveling, enjoying a good book and shopping with family and friends. She was friendly and outgoing and had an endless amount of energy.
Janice was loved by many and will be missed.
Janice is preceded in death by parents, two sisters, Lois Wise and Bonnie Tucker, who was her best friend and she has missed dearly.
Janice is survived by her husband Richard Swink PhD. of Edmond, daughter, Tanda Cross and husband, Tony of Perry; two stepchildren, Valeri Gatlin and husband, Richard of Lubbock, TX, Rick Swink and wife, Cindy of Edmond; two sisters, Glenice Thompson of Coldwater, KS, Deborah Atteberry Flowers and husband Melvin of Dodge City, KS; a brother-in-law, Dennis Tucker of Hutchinson, KS; five grandchildren, James Russell and wife, Tiffany, Jonathan Russell and wife, Samantha, Jessica Goldsberry and husband, Rex, Leah Cross, and Kara Cross. Janice is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
