Jesse Chouteau Donovan, IV of Tryon, OK, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 near Pawnee, OK. He was 33. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater.
A celebration of his life will be 2PM Thursday, July 6, 2017 at First Assembly of God in Carney, OK. Rev. Bo Gibbs will officiate. Interment will follow at Tryon Cemetery in Tryon, OK. His visitation will be from 9AM to 8PM on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater, OK. Family will greet guests from 6PM to 8PM. Pallbearers will be Scott Donovan, Lonnie Cochran, Steven Brandon, Jason Edgins, Mathew Donovan, Daniel Siliven, and Jason Barrows. Honorary pallbearer will be David Brandon.
Jesse was born on October 2, 1983 to Jesse “Reb” and Lisa Gayle (Brandon) Donovan in Stillwater, OK. He grew up in the Carney/Tryon area and graduated from Carney High School in 2002.
He enjoyed camping, golf, and reading a good book. Jesse earned several Marksman awards while serving in the U.S. Army. He loved being with family and friends.
Survivors include his three children, Janilee Breeanne Coleman of Tryon, OK, Connor Owen Donovan of Carney, OK, and Jackson Cooper Grimes of Perkins, OK; his father, Jesse “Reb” Donovan of Fort Worth, TX; mother, Lisa Gayle Hall and husband Brent of Tryon, OK; one sister, Tiffany Gayle Grimes and husband Chris of Perkins, OK; two step-sisters, Stephanie Pittser of Ponca City, OK, and Carly Harris of Cushing, OK; paternal grandmother, Lois Cochran and husband Dale of Emporia, KS; maternal grandparents, Kenneth Brandon and wife Jeanie of Perkins, OK, and Judy Owens also of Perkins, OK; significant other, Jamie Russell of Tryon, OK. Also, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jesse “Jess” Donovan, II.
Jesse will greatly be missed by his family and close friends
