Jewel Annette Fisher-Ferguson, 85, of Stillwater, passed away on November 11, 2010. Funeral services will be Monday November 15, 2010 at 10:30 A.M at the First Baptist Church of Stillwater. Services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater. Jewel "Annette" as most know her, was born in Atlanta, Texas on January 25, 1925 and was the eldest of three daughters of Rayburn McBee Fisher and Annie Mae Blaydes-Fisher. Annette spent her early years in White Oak, Texas, Dallas and Euless, Texas. Annette's siblings include Betty Jean Fisher-Hopkins (deceased) and Susan Ray Fisher-Davis of Malakoff, Texas. Surviving family members include husband Earl John Ferguson, husband of 64 years, three children and 6 grandchildren. The children are Johnny Ray Ferguson (deceased), Randal Earl Ferguson of Fort Worth Texas and Daniel James Ferguson of Stillwater Oklahoma. Grandchildren include John and James Ferguson, children of Randal and Kimberly Ferguson of Fort Worth Texas. Aaron, Molly, Adam and Andrew Ferguson, children of Daniel and Teresa Ferguson of Stillwater. Annette graduated from Euless high school in 1942 and is a graduate of North Texas Agricultural College in 1944 and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas University for Women in 1945. Annette married Earl John Ferguson in Fort Worth, Texas on February 14, 1945. Earl and Annette moved to College Station, Texas in 1946 where Earl attended Texas A&M University, graduating in September of 1949. In 1949 moved with husband to Fort Worth, Texas where he was employed as an industrial engineer at Consolidated Aircraft. In Fort Worth, two sons were born Johnny Ray and Randal and the family resided there until 1956. The family moved to Stillwater September, 1956 where her husband Earl was employed by Oklahoma A&M College as an Assistant Professor of Engineering. The family home remains in Stillwater to this day. Annette was a faithful member and active in the First Baptist Church in Stillwater for more than 54 years. Faithful in many church activities and her favorite service was as a mentor for teen age children at the Falls Creek church Oklahoma Baptist assembly. She spent many summers serving her Lord there. Travel was her delight and she was able to see nearly all of the U.S. and Canada. Annette was able to travel all over Europe as her husband was employed after retirement as a visiting professor by the U.S. Air Force. The assignment entailed travel every three months to a new location throughout Europe including Germany, Italy, Sicily, Spain and Turkey. Annette was loved by all and her innocence and gentle spirit touched everyone she encountered. Loved by all and missed by all Annette Ferguson was a faithful and loving woman who loved her Lord Jesus Christ, her husband and children.
