John Christopher Goforth

John Christopher Chris Goforth, 51 of Perkins, OK passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016 at his parents home in Perkins surrounded by his family. Funeral services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.
A Celebration of Chriss life is scheduled for 2PM Friday, September 9, 2016 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater. Visitation will be held from noon to 8pm on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the funeral home. Family will greet guests from 6pm-8pm.
Chris was born September 11, 1964 in Stillwater, OK to John and Shirley Goforth. He is survived by one son, Aaron Goforth of Perkins, OK; one daughter, Lily Goforth of Perkins; parents, John and Shirley Gofoth; two sisters, Julie Goforth of Perkins and Donna Wells and husband, James; one brother, Rick Goforth and wife, Stacy of Perkins.
He worked for Kerns Concrete for 25 years. He cared deeply for other people and was always generous with what he had. In his pastime, Chris enjoyed riding motorcycles, painting, and fishing.
Chris lost his battle with stage IV colon cancer after three and a half years. He has asked everyone he knows to be screened for colon cancer.
