John Fitzgerald Kennedy Slemp

November 23, 1963 — December 15, 2022

John Fitzgerald Kennedy Slemp, age 59, passed away at his home on December 15, 2022. A celebration of John’s life will be held at a future date to be determined.


He was born November 23, 1963, in San Diego, California, the youngest son to Frank and Deloris (Godfrey) Slemp. At an early age he grew up in San Diego, California. After his father’s passing, his mother moved the family to Oklahoma in 1974 where he finished attending grade school in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Later attending High School at Putnam City West in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. John was a hard worker and knew at a young age he wanted to start early in the work force. Leaving High School before graduation, John started his career in construction as a contractor.


Having never married, he lived in Stillwater, Oklahoma where he resided till his passing.


John was an entrepreneur at heart starting his first construction business, Cobra, LLC in the mid 1990’s. He specialized and took pride in remodeling and loved every employee he had like his own family. His latest work included updating nursing homes all over the state of Oklahoma.


John was known by many to have a heart of gold always willing to lend a helping hand and if needed would not hesitate to give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. John was the type of man that would always give people the benefit of the doubt on any occasion.


Playing his guitar, singing, and anything Oklahoma State University were things John enjoyed.


Johns’ memory will be kept alive by his siblings, Frank Slemp Jr. and wife Tena of Copan, Oklahoma, Stuart Slemp of Orlando, Florida, Sandy Slemp of Lawrence, Kansas, Tim Slemp of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Bridgett Slemp of Appleton, Wisconsin; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; as well as Haus his loving and loyal companion.


He goes to be with his parents and one brother, Arthur Slemp.


Cremation is planned and scattering of his cremated remains will be done at a later date.
