Joyce Irene Sharpton-Decker

Joyce Irene Sharpton-Decker, 86, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Joyce was born on September 15, 1937, to Wilmer and Druzella (Davenport) Stephenson in Yale, Oklahoma. Joyce grew up in the Stillwater area and graduated from Ripley High School. Joyce was happily married to Welsey Sharpton until his death in 2001. After Wesley’s death she married Archie Decker until his death in 2017.

Joyce deeply loved the lord, loved her home in the country where she lived for over seventy years, gardening and enjoying nature. She loved her family and will be deeply missed.

Joyce is preceded in death by her first husband Wesley Sharpton, her second husband Archie Decker, her parents Wilmer and Druzella Stephenson.

She is survived by her son DeWayne Sharpton and wife Susan, her grandchildren Shelby Dudley and husband Steven, Summer Taylor and husband Clint, Mike Sharpton and wife April, her great grandchildren, Aria Dudley, Ryker Dudley, Greyson Taylor, Reese Taylor, Sidney Sharpton and Madeline Sharpton. She is also survived by her sister Jean Stephenson among other extended family members.
