Judith Lynn Sherrer, 57, of Stillwater, passed from this life on Monday April 11, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Memorial Services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home and will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Countryside Baptist Church. Judith was born on January 31, 1954 in Atoka, Oklahoma to Paul McGue and Dorothy (Cook) McGue. She was raised and educated in Atoka. On May 20, 1972 she married the love of her life Gary Sherrer, a union that endured 38 years. She later attained her Bachelors degree from Southeastern State College and a Masters of Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She went on to be a teacher/librarian at Nashoba, Jones, and Ketchum. In 2004, the family moved to Stillwater where they attended the Countryside Baptist Church. In her spare time, Judith enjoyed card games (especially pitch), working in flower beds, shopping, and traveling to Branson. She also collected bird houses and King Arthurs Court silver pieces. She was most proud, however, of her wonderful family who she loved spending time with, especially her new granddaughter, Rylee.
Judith is survived by her husband Gary of the home; three daughters, Tori Wimmer and husband Ryan of Howell, Michigan; Camill Sherrer of Stillwater, and Connor Sherrer of Stillwater; brother Ron McGue of Atoka; sister Sandra Easley of Atoka; and granddaughter Rylee Madison Lew Wimmer of Howell, Michigan; as well as many other relatives and friends. Judith was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Dorothy McGue, and mother and father-in-law Leonard and Florida Sherrer.
In Lieu of Flowers the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.
