Karen Ann Cole

Graveside services for Karen Ann Cole, 60, of Perkins, OK are scheduled for 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Perkins Cemetery with Pastor Albert May officiating. A memorial service is to be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the Perkins First Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler carberry Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cole was born on July 28, 1948 in Fairfield, CA to Clarence E. and Alta (Wells) Ventris. She grew up and attended schools in stillwater, graduating from high school. She married Grady Cole on February 17, 1989 in stillwater, OK. She was a member of the Perkins First Baptist Church where she was a member of My Peoples Sunday School. Her hobbies included: watching the cooking network, cooking, reading, and watching movies. She loved watching her son, Timothy, perform in his activities. The highlights of her life were her family, especially her son and grandchildren. Karen passed from this life on Sunday, August 24, 2008 in stillwater.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Quinton Ventris; and one sister, Norma Dean Harris.
She is survived by: her husband, Grady of the home; one son, Timothy Cole of the home; two daughters, Rebecca Lewis and her husband, Leon of Perkins and Jodi Ferris of Minneapolis, MN; two brothers, Ewel Ventris and his wife, Jo of stillwater and William Ventris and his wife, Retha of Perkins; three sisters, Carlita LaVerde of Sacramento, CA, Delores Little and her husband, Carl of stillwater, and Judy Andrew-Davis and her husband Jim, of stillwater; two grandchildren, Sophia Ferris and Olivia Lewis; and several nieces and nephews.
