Karen Robinson passed from this life on Sunday, February 20th, 2011 in Perry, OK. Karen was born in Cairo, IL on November 4, 1935, to Erleen and Robert Grantham. She graduated from Tamms High School in 1953. In 1957, she married Richard Greenwell who preceded her in death in August, 1978. Karen moved to Altus, OK in 1979 and established a home. She had lived in Altus before and chose to move back there because of close friends. She went to work for Western Oklahoma State College in 1980. She worked at the college for 12 years and retired in January 1994. In March of 1983, she married Tommy Robinson, who preceded her in death in April, 2002. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by two children, Kelly Lee Rogers and her husband, Harlan of Haslet, TX and Richard Kent Greenwell and wife Debbie of Perry, OK, six grandchildren: Jay, Kyle and Aaron Rogers and Jamie Marie, Makayla, and Whitney Greenwell; and six great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 24, at 11:30 AM at Altus Municipal Cemetery in Altus, OK, with Pastor David Player presiding. Viewing will be available one hour prior to the service time. Services have been entrusted to the care of Perry Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Karen"s name to First United Methodist church in Altus, OK or Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, OK.
