Kathryn Cordelia “Cordy” Bellmon-Robinson was born September 26, 1955 and passed away on August 25, 2019. She was born in Billings, OK where she attended school and worked at the Billings Fairchild Center. She later went to NOC in Tonkawa to play basketball and then moved to Stillwater to attend OSU where she received her degree in Education. Kathy was a beloved 3rd grade teacher for 29 years which she loved very much. Her love of teaching was admirable and she put up with no one’s nonsense: students, faculty, or parents. If her students needed something she always found a way to provide for them, even if she didn’t have it. Highland Park was her home where she made lifelong friendships and touched many lives. In retirement what she enjoyed most was being a grandmother and doing yard work. She spent her Saturday’s looking for the best garage sales to find that one thing her babies might need or want. Her love of art kept her busy on projects around the house. Kathy was an avid supporter of the local Ambucks chapter. She looked forward to trips to casinos and concerts with her sisters.
Kathy was a caring, fun-loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had a strong spirit and fought her hardest to stay on earth with us. Kathy will forever have a place in our hearts and will live on through all the people she has touched.
Kathy and Fred were together for 26 years. Together they have 5 children-Jaime Houser of Stillwater, Jennifer Mulder of Pawnee, Allicia Miller of Pawnee, Stephanie Cheney of Jones, and Randy Robinson of Jones; 9 grandchildren-Brenna Anson, Jacob Miller, Harley Houser, Cadyn Jeffries, Charli Cheney, Presley Cheney, Megan Mulder, Ashley Mulder and Nick Mulder and 2 great grandchildren- Preston and Peyton. She is survived by 7 sisters, 2 brothers, and 3 uncles.
She is preceded in death by her son-Jake Houser, her parents, one brother, two nieces, her in-laws, and two brother in-laws.
Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 29th at 10:00am at Sunnybrook Christian Church. Dighton Marler Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
