Kathryn Lucille Lovell

Kathryn L. Lovell, age 89, passed away at her home in Stillwater on Friday, June 30, 2017. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater.

A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10AM Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stillwater, OK. Father Jim Greiner will officiate, assisted by Chester Garringer. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Glencoe, OK.

Visitation will be 9AM to 8PM on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home-Stillwater. Family will receive guests from 5PM to 7PM.

Kathryn was the last surviving sibling of five children. She was born September 21, 1927 in Stillwater, OK, to Herman and Anna (Walker) Schroeder. She grew up in Stillwater and graduated from Stillwater Public Schools in 1945. After graduation she attended Oklahoma A & M where she earned a Bachelor’s in Home Economics in 1949. She and Everett Webster Lovell were married July 20, 1947 in Stillwater, OK where they would make their home and raised three wonderful children. Kathryn and her husband made their way in life by working the land and raising cattle on their farm east of Stillwater. She was proud of her stewardship of the land and was a forward thinking conservationist. She enjoyed gardening, cookbooks, and her church. She was a lifetime member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Stillwater.

Survivors include two sons, Keith Lovell and wife Katheline of Stillwater, OK, and John Lovell and wife Pam of Glencoe, OK; one daughter, Linda Cagle Lovell of Stillwater, OK; six grandchildren, Colby Cagle, Travis Cagle, Nathan Lovell, Matthew Lovell, Eric Lovell, and Mandy Davis; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Everett in 2012, her parents, and four siblings, Mary May, Ione Steichen, Thelma Daugherty, and Frank Schroeder.
