Kenneth Howard Novotny of Stillwater, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at age 72. A memorial service will be held at Dighton Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Saturday January 15, 2022 at 2pm.
Kenneth was born on March 29, 1949, to Stanley Francis and Loretta M. Voegeli Novotny in Chickasha, Oklahoma as the 6th child out of a total of 11 siblings. Kenneth attended Anadarko High School and graduated with the Class of 1967. From there he attended Oklahoma State University and received his Bachelor of Science in Turf Management. While attending OSU, Kenneth met the love of his life, Kristen Miller Novotny and married her on March 20, 1971. After graduating, Kenneth began working at Oklahoma State University as a mechanic where he retired after 20 years.
Kenneth was many things in life. A husband, father, grandfather, teacher, farmer, mechanic, friend, confidant, and so much more to so many people. Being so many things, Kenneth became known among most that knew him as Mr. Fix It. He loved spending time outdoors and hunting, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren. His true passion in life was helping others. Kenneth would do anything to help anyone in need, even if they never asked, and always did it with a smile on his face.
Kenneth is proceeded in death by his parents, his brother – Cletus Novotny, and sisters – Bernadette Novotny, Delores Anderson, and Julia Novotny.
He is survived by his wife Kristen Miller Novotny of Stillwater. His children, Erik Novotny and wife Rachel of Broken Arrow; Thomas Novotny and wife Tammy of Stillwater; and Matthew Novotny and wife Randa of Stillwater. His grandchildren
Tristan Novotny, Gage Novotny, Maddie Novotny, Jacie Jenkins, Jenna Jenkins, and Jentri Patterson.
His siblings Mildred Howell, Antonetta Dutton, Gladys Buresh and husband Ralph, Elaine Mahl and husband Hebert, Robert Novotny and wife Dorthy, as well as Steven Novotny and wife Brenda.
