Kenneth Verl Young

Kenneth Young, 75, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, in Perry, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 12, with family greeting guests from 5 to 7 p.m. at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, Perry. 

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, September 13, at Sumner Cemetery with Pastor Michael Ward, Hilltop Church, Morrison, officiating. A dinner will follow at the Hilltop Church in Morrison.

Kenneth was born on July 13, 1948, in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Gladys and Eldon Young. He lived and attended school in Morrison, Oklahoma and graduated from Morrison High School in 1967. Kenneth joined the Army and was medically discharged. He went to heat and air and refrigeration school and worked in that profession for many years. In his later years he was a school bus driver and retired in 2018.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters: Marylyn and Joyce; and nephew Rholand Kling.

He is survived by his four children: Elizabeth and husband Richard, Kenneth and wife Tristian, Amy, and Wade and wife Mandy. He is also survived by grandchildren: Brian, Kristen, Victoria, Trystan, Kenyon Austian, Dakota, Reese, Levi, Sara, Alan, Casey, Brett, Jessi and Josie; one great grandchild Colter; his ex-wife Elizabeth; one sister Rita and husband Nick Gleason; and several nieces and nephews.
