Larry Brake

Larry Dwayne "Clutch" Brake, 72, passed away on August 7, 2023, at his home in Stillwater surrounded by his family. A graveside service will be held later this fall. Dighton Marler Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Larry was born on May 21, 1951, in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Wayne and Lois (Fisk) Brake. He graduated from Perkins-Tryon High School in 1969.

Larry worked in the oilfield for years and later was a Turbine Operator at Oklahoma State University before retiring. Larry spent many hours at the lake fishing and boating. He also enjoyed hunting, gardening, and mowing the yard. He was at Home having coffee on the porch and watching the wildlife as they passed through the yard. Spending time with family and friends was important to him.

Larry is survived by his wife Vickie of 47 years; one sister, one nephew; and a multitude of additional family members and friends.

Larry is preceded in death by his son Jason; his parents; two brothers; and a niece.
