Stillwater

Larry Feddersen, a beloved Husband, Father and Grandpa, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024 in Stillwater, Oklahoma at the age of 76. He was born on July 2, 1948, in El Reno, Oklahoma to Ralph E. and Christena J. (Conrad) Feddersen.Larry's journey included educational accomplishments. He graduated from Union City High School in 1966 where he played basketball and excelled as a pitcher in baseball. He went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Economics from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater in 1970. He was a proud alumnus of OSU and was undoubtedly Loyal and True. His college class ring worn smooth over the decades leaves zero doubt of his loyalty. Not only known for his warm personality and diverse interests but also for his service to his country Larry proudly served in the United States Army, demonstrating his dedication to serving others.Larry led a life filled with love and compassion. He worked diligently as a salesman for Purina Mills (Checkerboard Square) for 25 years. Being one of the youngest members of the Purina old timers was a joy to him. He later joined Shawnee Milling Company until retirement, Larry forged lifelong friendships during his tenure in sales. Anyone who worked with Larry knew he was a straight shooter and one heck of a great salesman! His jocularity took control of any room or situation he may be in. He was always respected for he respected everyone. His first handshake sold the deal everything else was just details. Aside from his successful career, Larry cherished moments spent with his children and grandchildren. Family meant everything to “Uncle Kemo”, as he was fondly referred to by his numerous nieces and nephews. He loved playing golf and spending countless days at the lake making sure everyone had plenty of good food and cold beer. “Boss Hog” as he called himself, made sure nobody was hungry no matter who was there, saying, “make out your meal”. His love of the ocean shows in so many a tanned smiles and memories of his best friends and family on her shores. Larry danced with his heart. Whether with his daughter or the love of his life. The smile on his face was undeniable. “Dody Gene” never passed up a chance to cut a rug. Larry loved to fish. Let’s rephrase, Larry loved to fish with his two boys. His tackle box consisted of one lawn chair, one newspaper, one big cigar, one cooler and whatever his two boys could carry that they would use to catch fish. He never caught a fish one, his reward was the smile on our faces when we finally caught a big one. Those days were without a doubt some of the best days of his life and ours.Larry was born into a God loving and spiritual home. He kept his faith and love for our lord Jesus Christ in every step of his life. Larry’s faith never wavered. He was a man who walked with God from his first breath until his last. Larry is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sharon (Sweeney) Feddersen of the home; three children: Brent Feddersen (Michelle) of Mannford, Oklahoma; Andrea Kirton (Dean) of Piedmont, Oklahoma; Ryan Feddersen (Jenelle) of Stillwater, Oklahoma; brother Ed Feddersen (Connie) of Union City, Oklahoma; six grandchildren: Hannah Feddersen, Jacob Feddersen, Hunter Kirton (Chelsea), Colton Kirton; Mason Feddersen (Cailin), Colby Feddersen; and four great-grandchildren, as well as other extended family and friends.
