Larry Gene “Gus” Cotton III, of Morrison, Oklahoma passed away in Tulsa, OK. on Sunday, February 10, 2018 at the tender age of 4. Dighton Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater has been entrusted with arrangements.
Gus was born in Ponca City, Ok to Larry Gene Cotton Jr. and Stephanie Dawn Pulliam on November 30, 2013. Gus moved to Morrison to live with Stan and Tonya Alexander and their children.
Gus wanted to be just like Superman. His family assisted him to become superman by giving the gift of organ donation to three recipients. He enjoyed his preschool days at Pawnee Headstart with Miss Cheyenne, Miss Dana and special friend Miss Beverly. His passions on the farm included feeding cattle and riding horses with his dad, spending time with his dog, Zip, duck hunting and playing football with his Bubba and attending Morrison High School football games with friends and family. Even though he loved wearing his cowboy attire he was the only OU fan in the house, “Boomer Soomer” (yes that is an M in sooner). You would always find him with a smile on his face as he loved EVERYONE and EVERYONE loved him. Gus had a true passion for food; he loved food with the exception of potatoes even though you wouldn’t recognize that due to his big boy build, “right”. Gus was quite the Mommas boy as he enjoyed loads of cuddle time, talking and never was too proud to pray over his food. Gus was baptized at the sweet age of 4.
Gus is preceded in death by Granny Norma Wampler.
Gus is survived by his parents, Stan and Tonya Alexander; 14 sibling, Shawna and Will of Mannford, Ok., Trey of Kearney, NE., Kaylene of Grand Island, NE., Dalton and “Churkey” of Weatherford, OK., Cody of Grand Island, NE., Walker of Morrison, OK., Seth of Grand Island, NE., JoDee of Morrison, OK., Joey of the home, and five biological siblings; aunts and uncles, Uncle Dink and Aunt Evie Graham of Morrison, Heather and Terry Klienwebber of Nebraska City, NE., Charlotte and Tim Trahan of Morrison, Casey and Brenda Connolly of Kingwood, TX., Bobby John Alexander of Nebraska City, NE., Mathew Walker, Travis Walker and many more; five nephews; grandparents; Special Papa Gary Parli of Morrison, Ash Story and Marci Walker of Surprise, AZ. and Susan Vasby of Morrison, OK. and many more.
