LESLIE V. MILLER
Funeral services for Leslie V. Miller, age 86, of Stillwater, OK are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at the Highland Park United Methodist Church with Rev. Andy Hall and Rev. Derrek Belase officiating. Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Palmer-Marler-Carberry Funeral Home. Mr. Miller was born on July 29, 1921 to George W. and Delia (Dismuke) Miller in Richmond, Arkansas and passed from this life on October 21, 2007 at his residence in Stillwater, OK. He grew up and attended school in Ashdown, Arkansas. Mr. Miller married Mary Virginia Garison on August 18, 1946 in Warren, Arkansas later moving to Stillwater in the summer of 1965, living here for 43 years. Mr. Miller taught vocational agriculture 15 years at Indianola and one year at Canadian in Pittsburg County. He was active in the Masonic Lodge and became a 32nd degree mason in the Scottish Rite. He also was a member of Exchange Club and CBI. He worked 18 years with the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education. In May 2005, the board of education in Indianola named the vocational complex in his honor. Mr. Miller received his master degree at OSU. He served in the United States Army Air Corps in World War II. He spent 28 months oversees, with 25 months in China with the Air Transport Command. His hobbies included; yard work, antiques, walking and writing poems. He is survived by:

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary, and brother Del Miller
