Linda Lee Bartlett, 61, of Perkins passed from this life on November 22, 2014 in Stillwater, OK with her loving son by her side. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Perkins and a service celebrating her life will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home at 304 N. Main in Perkins. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 12:00 pm to 8:00pm at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Perkins.
Linda was born on January 8, 1953 to Woodruff and Amelia Bartlett. She moved to Perkins in 1964. She attended school in Perkins, graduating from Perkins-Tryon High School in 1972. Shortly after graduating she married Larry Majors and had a son, Travis Majors. Linda spent her life working as a housekeeper. She spent over a decade working for Stillwater Medical Center before moving in to home heath housekeeping. She later accepted a position as a housekeeper for the City of Stillwater where she worked until retiring in the early 2000s due to health issues. Later, she married Bob Savory who was a great friend and fishing partner for Linda until his passing in 2009.
Linda was a kind and caring woman who enjoyed studying genealogy, fishing farm ponds with her mom, hunting with her dad, and collecting antiques. She enjoyed being social and attending the weekly music program at the Perkins Senior Citizen Center. Lindas faith in Christ was deeply rooted. She was a long time member of Bible Baptist Church in Stillwater and she read her Bible every day. Linda always chose to see the best in other people and rarely complained about her difficulties. She was proud of her grandchildrens accomplishments and was always glad to see them. Linda packed a lot of life into her short 61 years and she touched many lives. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and Bob Savory.
She is survived by her son Travis Majors and wife Velma, of Perkins. Four Grandchildren: Bryce Mason, Tyler Mason, Abby Majors, and Zac Majors. She is also survived by several other family members and her two dogs.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Bandit Football Association in care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home 5106 N. Washington. Stillwater ,OK 74075
