Linda Rose Fairchild Bergman ended the journey in this life on Friday September 17th surrounded by family and many friends in Tonkawa at the age of 56 Linda was born on December 3rd 1953 in Blackwell Oklahoma, to Wilma and M.G. (Buster) Fairchild. Linda received her education in the Blackwell School system. Linda was always looking for adventure in her life, leading her to many interesting jobs. She was one of the first females to work as a flagger on a highway construction crew. Her jobs were things such as working on a farm, owning a restaurant in Ralston, and a ceramic shop in Tonkawa. One of the jobs she enjoyed most was cooking at different businesses in the area. Illness forced her to retire from her last and most favorite job, working as a member of the pull team at the Tonkawa Casino. In 1977 she married the love of her life Hossein Sadaguionyzadeh. A house fire in 1982 ended her adventure with him. In 1987 she married Delbert Cross. In this marriage she started the job that she had craved for so many years but was never able to achieve, she became a mother to his two children Shayla and Casey. In 1991 a miracle happened, something that doctors said she would never be able to do, Linda gave birth and added Alexandria to the family. Linda and Delbert"s marriage ended in 1995 While Linda was working at the Kansa Restaurant Alexandria met Robert Bergman. The friendship of Alex and Robert led to a romance for her mother. Linda and Robert were married in 1997. Linda, Robert and Alex made their home on a farm in Braman until their marriage ended. In 2000 Linda moved to Tonkawa where she made her home with Alex until the time of her death. Linda enjoyed going to the area casino"s where she made many friends and played the slot machines. She enjoyed spending time with her family at cookouts where she was famous for her baked beans. Linda is survived by daughters Alexandrian Cross of the home and Shayla Cross of Tonkawa, Brother Ernie Fairchild of Marlow and Sister Martha Radcliff and husband Dan of Ponca City Mother Janie Fairchild of Blackwell and Brother Jeff Bovard of Blackwell, many nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by Son Casey Cross her parents Wilma and M G (Buster) Fairchild, sisters LuJean Miller and Judy Gregson. A memorial service in honor of Linda is planned for 6 P.M. Saturday September 25 at the Heart In The Park in downtown Tonkawa across from the Co-op. In lieu of flowers a fund has been established at the First National Bank in Tonkawa under The Linda Bergman Expense Fund 101 W Grand Tonkawa, OK 74653 to help cover final expenses.
