Linda White-Hinkle, 69, of Perry passed from this life on August 5, 2014 at her home. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and a memorial service celebrating Linda"s life will be held at a later date. Linda was born on January 26, 1945 in Elk City, OK to Jack and Janey White. She grew up and attended schools in the Elk City area and graduated from Elk City High School. Following graduation, she moved to Oklahoma City and began a career as a secretary in the banking industry. In the 1960"s she married Frank Hill and gave birth to her son, Sean Hill. She married Dennis Hinkle in the 1970"s and had her daughter, Lisa Dawn Hinkle. In the late 80"s, Linda went to work for the State Farm Insurance corporate office as a secretary and was employed with State Farm for nearly 20 years. In 2008 she relocated to Perry, OK to be near several of her friends and she accepted a part-time position working for Sheryl Mandeville"s State Farm agency in Perry, a job she loved dearly. In early 2014 Linda was forced into retirement due to her declining health. Linda White-Hinkle was an outgoing woman who was good natured and independent. She loved spending time with her family, especially her three grandchildren. Linda was a den mother and scout leader for her son during his younger years and always supported her children in their various endeavors. She always had a good book to read and she enjoyed watching movies, being a talented cook and seamstress, and she was never happier than when she was sitting and visiting with her friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. Linda was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her two children: Sean Jackson Hill and wife Susan, of Edmond, OK. Lisa Langevin and husband Jay, of Sarasota, FL. Three grandchildren: Dylan Hill, Megan Hill, and Kaylin Langevin. Two cousins: Bonni Henderson and Benny Ross. She is also survived by several special friends from her "Perry Gang" including: Cleeta Simms, Orbie Watson, Cristin Berg, Patty Wilson, Debbie Smith, Rheba Clifton. The family requests that donations be made in Linda"s honor to the ASPCA in care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home 203 Fir Street. Perry, OK 73077.
