Linda Karen Bridges

Linda K. Bridges, 76, longtime resident of Stillwater, Oklahoma received her eternal promotion on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 while surrounded by her loving family.

Homegoing services are scheduled for 11AM Monday, August 21, 2023 at CrossPointe Church in Stillwater with Rev. Norman Richmond and Pastor Mike King officiating. Interment will be 11AM Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon, Oklahoma. Visitation will be Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 2PM to 6PM at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater. Pallbearers will be Casey Bridges, Justin Endecott, James Stodghill, Brody Seymour, Jaxon Vaverka, Misty Vaverka, and Kerry Baker.

Linda was born September 16, 1946 in Hitchita, Oklahoma to Homer Lee Watson and Hazel Ione (Crisp) Watson. She grew up in the Guymon area where she attended school and graduated in 1966.

Linda and Charles were married on June 19, 1970 in Guymon, Oklahoma. They have lived in Stillwater since 1974. They originally started attending Highland Park Freewill Baptist Church that is now the current CrossPointe Church where they have been members since 1975.

Linda loved her CrossPointe church family, cooking, arts & crafts, horror movies, and most importantly her family. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband Charles of the home; children, James Stodghill and wife Gwen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Misty Vaverka of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Casey Bridges of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Joe Watson and wife Sharon of Guymon, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Hayley Vaverka, Jaxon Vaverka, Katie Stonebraker, Jacob Stodghill, Justin Endecott, and Katie Talamante; great-grandchildren, Ryder and Killian Stonebraker, Raelyn Talamante, Korbin Endecott, Ragan Endecott, and Kason Endecott. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Watson; and sister, Mary Andis.
