Lois Purnnie Ramsey

Lois Purnnie (Noteware) Ramsey was born on August 31st, 1913 to John and Nancy (Turner) Noteware in Avery, Oklahoma. She married William J. Ramsey in September of 1931 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. The family lived in the Newkirk area their entire lives. Lois was employed in the restaurant business as a waitress and cook for over 45 years.
Lois was a woman that was very devoted to her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is described as being a very caring woman doing what she could to help others. She enjoyed spending time with her church family, reading and doing crossword puzzles. She was always happy with life and is remembered as always having a smile on her face.
Lois passed away on July 15th, 2006 at the Newkirk Nursing Center. She was 92 years old. She is survived by three children, J.B. Ramsey and wife Shirley of Glencoe, OK, Raymond Ramsey and wife Loretta of Ponca City, OK, Colene Butler of Panhandle, TX; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William J. Ramsey; two sons; one daughter; four brothers; six sisters; one grandchild and two great grandchildren.
Services for Lois P. Ramsey will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday July 18th at the Newkirk Cemetery. John Ramsey will be officiating. The family has entrusted Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home in Stillwater, OK with the arrangements.
