Luella (Ewy) Gregg

Luella Victoria Chenoweth Ewy Gregg, 98, of Perry, passed from this life December 11, 2009 at her home. She was born on July 28, 1911, in Perry to Clark B. and Anna E. Christensen Chenoweth. She attended Sumner and Pleasant Hill schools. On October 18, 1930 she married Harold Ewy. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1969. On June 27, 1984 she married Tiny Gregg. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1991. Luella was a lifetime homemaker and she loved painting, watching the birds, dancing, and flowers. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 14th, at 2p.m. in the First Christian Church, 7th & Holly Street in Perry with Reverend Martin Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery. Luella is survived by two daughters: Vicky Beier and her husband Ralph, and Betty Price and her husband, Bill, all of Perry; two sons: Dan Ewy of Morrison, and Melvin and his wife Naomi, of Perry; one brother: Bill Chenoweth and his wife Lois of Perry; three sisters: Dorothy Ewy, Libbie Norton and Mary Goodwin, all of Perry; grandchildren: Galen James and his wife, Nancy, of McKinney, TX, Dennis James of Morrison, Donna Jones, Rusty Ewy and his wife Kathy, Mike Ewy, Randy Ewy, Stephanie Rames and her husband Steve all of Perry and Darren Maine and his wife Monica of Stillwater, OK: great-grandchildren: Josh James and his wife Jenny of McKinney, TX, Jeremy James and his wife Melissa of Edmond, Levi Jones of Edmond, Makila Jones, Perry, Dylan James, Stillwater, Cale James, Morrison, Tiara Ewy, Mariah Ewy, Carson Rames, Meagan Rames all of Perry and Aker Maine of Stillwater; great-great-grandchildren: Hailey James of McKinney, TX and twins Mark and Spencer James of Edmond and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Harold Ewy, and second husband Tiny Gregg; two daughters: Ruth Ann and Connie Sue; three brothers: Star, Edd and Click; and two sisters: Bobbie and Gladys. Memorials may be made to the charity of choice in care of Perry Funeral Home, 203 E. Fir, Perry, OK. Services have been entrusted to Perry Funeral Home.
