Lynda Kathryn (Cain) Baker passed away October 13, 2021 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was 61 years old. Lynda was born May 15, 1960 in Redwood City, CA, the daughter of Allen and Kaye Cain. She was raised in San Jose, California, graduating from Santa Teresa High School where she was active in the color guard.
Following high school, Lynda attended College of the Siskiyous in California where she was a member of the cross country team. Lynda was also a member of the livestock judging team and won high individual at a contest where she received a first place belt buckle for her accomplishment.
Lynda moved to Oklahoma with her parents in 1981 where she attended Oklahoma State University studying Agronomy. She met Barry Baker while working in the Cotton lab for the university with her future mother in-law. The couple married on August 20, 1983. After six years, the couple welcomed their daughter, Amber. Barry and Lynda were married for 38 years.
Lynda’s friends and family remember her as a spiritual, loving, and outgoing person who always made instant friends wherever she went. Lynda was passionate about life on the farm, her family, and especially her grandchildren. She had a natural ability to connect with every single person she met and bring joy to any child she encountered, whether that be at tractor shows, Hot Wheel conventions, flea markets or hotdog roasts at the Baker Farm.
Lynda is survived by her husband, Barry Baker; daughter; Amber Kaiser and her husband, Jerib of Tulsa, OK; mother, Kaye Cain of Stillwater, OK; siblings, Kenneth Cain and wife, Laurie of Florida; Sandra Jones and husband, Scott of Arizona; and two grandchildren, Elijah and Hope Kaiser. She is preceded in death by her father, Allen Cain; In-Laws, Bobby and Jane Baker; and two grandchildren.
Lynda was an active member of the T-Town Wheelers; a family oriented Hot Wheels Club based out of Tulsa, OK. The family asks that instead of flowers, to please send donations supporting the club by check or money order, payable to the T-Town Wheeler's, in Lynda Baker’s name.
