Margaretha "Margaret" Ross

Margaretha Ellen Wilson Ross, 89, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Green Valley Nursing Home in Perry, OK., surrounded by family. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.
Visitation will be 9AM to 8PM Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home. Family will greet guests from 6PM to 8PM. A Celebration of Margaret’s life will be 1PM Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home. Her grandsons, Clay Ross, Kenneth Ross, Brian Worsham, Andrew Lambe, Blake Fuller, Kevin Myers will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, OK.
Margaretha, more commonly known as Margaret, was born on November 4, 1929 in Miami, OK, to Lyle and Maud (Riggs) Wilson. She graduated from Miami High School in 1948. She met Kenneth Harold Ross and they married October 28, 1949 in Miami. The two of them lived in Shidler and Drumright a short period of time before moving to Nowata where they settled down and started their family. After 15 years they moved to Seminole so Kenneth could continue working the oil fields. Once again, Kenneth’s job led them to Cleveland, Oklahoma where they lived until Kenneth’s death. After his passing Margaret later moved to Stillwater.
Margaret was a homemaker during the early years of her life, and later took vocational training to become a Medical Unit Secretary / Ward Clerk where she worked several years at Cleveland Area Hospital and Stillwater Medical Center until retiring in 2001. She greatly enjoyed her work and treasured the many friendships created at both hospitals.
Margaret loved spending time with her family, attending family reunions, birthdays, holidays and especially loved everyone getting together for Christmas. She enjoyed playing games, taking vacation trips and attending as many of her children’s, grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s school and sporting events as possible.
Margaret is survived by her brother, Marvin Wilson of Fairland, OK; son, David Ross and wife Kathy of Grove, OK; daughter, Dianne Mueller of Perry, OK; son, Daryl Ross and wife Dianna of Maumelle, AR. (previously Stillwater, OK); grandson, Clay Ross of Tulsa OK; granddaughter, Joslyn Worsham and husband Brian of Owasso, OK; granddaughter, Andrea Lambe and husband Andrew of Broken Arrow, OK; granddaughter, Angela Fuller and husband Blake of Piedmont, OK; Kimmie Mueller of Perry, OK; granddaughter, Krissi Mueller and Fiancé Kevin Myers of Tuttle, OK; grandson, Kenneth Ross and wife Katie of St. George, UT; and granddaughter; Kourtney Ross of Edmond, OK; and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Charles; and two sisters, Ruthie and Vera.
