November 22, 1944 — August 15, 2013

Marie Hopkins, beloved wife and mother passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013, at her home in Stillwater, Oklahoma at the age of 68. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and a service celebrating Maries life will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rusty Rhoads, officiating. Public visitation will be Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The daughter of the Late John and Martha Pexa. Marie was born on November 22, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and received her early education at Mt. St. Marys High School, where she earned her young catholic messenger diploma before graduating in 1962.
After high school she went on to serve her country in the Air Force before being honorable discharged in 1967.
She married the love of her life Will Hopkiins on June 27, 1987. In the fall of 1987 her family moved to Stillwater which quickly became her home.
She worked for the Stillwater Tag Agency as office manager for twenty years. She retired from the Stillwater Tag Agency when she became ill in early 2010.
She enjoyed gardening, running an efficient house and was an avid bowler in her younger years. One of the things she most enjoyed where vacations with her family, mainly in beach areas because she loved the sun.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother John Pexa Jr. and great grandson, Jaksyn.
She leaves behind her husband Will Hopkins of Stillwater; six children, Lisa and her husband Richard Hughes of Wichita Falls, TX, Aaron and his wife, Rhonda Brown of Yukon, OK, Christy Hopkins of Stillwater, OK, Sean Hopkins of Wichita Falls, TX Tracy and her husband Daniel Peckham of Stillwater, Micah Hopkins of Stillwater, OK; one sister Teresa Pexa of Oklahoma City, OK; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many other family members. Marie loved her Family beyond all else and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
