Marjorie Jo Walker, age 80, of Perkins passed away early Friday morning, October 9, 2009 in Stillwater. Her graveside services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater and will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Sunset Memorial Park in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Visitation for Mrs. Walker will be held Sunday afternoon from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Mrs. Walker was born on January 28, 1929 in Coffeyville, Kansas the daughter of Vernon Edgar and Gladys Elizabeth (Ellis) Moore. She grew up in Coffeyville where she attended school and graduated from Coffeyville High School. On September 6, 1947 she was united in marriage to Donald Raymond Walker in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She lived in Shidler, Oklahoma for several years where she co-owned and operated the Silver Moon Caf. She then moved to Stillwater in 1973 and worked at Oklahoma State University for twenty-four years. She moved to Perkins in 1981. Marjorie is survived by a son, Donald Walker, Jr. and wife Valrie of Jasper, Texas; two daughters, Diane Jackson of Perkins and Donna Smith and husband Steven of Stillwater; six grandchildren, Jason Jackson, Brent Jackson, Casi (Jackson) Hughs, Ian Jackson, Jacob Walker and Sarah (Walker) Andrews and five great grandchildren, Kendall Jackson, Kylie Jackson, Karyn Jackson, Noah Jackson and Cassidy Andrews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Those who wish may make memorials to Judith Karman Hospice in her memory.
