Marvin Leon Clay, Sr. Marvin Leon Clay, Sr. age 56 passed away August 6, 2011 at the OU Medical Center Presbyterian Tower, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on January 31, 1955 in De Soto, Kansas, the son of Russell and Phoebe (Burt) Clay. He worked in construction putting up sheet rock. Marvin enjoyed playing guitar and karaoke. Survivors include two sons, Marvin Clay Jr. of Perry, OK, Robert Clay of Binger, OK; 3 daughters, Melissa Clay, of Perry, OK, Kristeen Clay of Tulsa, OK, Angie Jarrett, of Perry, OK; 2 brothers, Russell Clay Jr. of Arkansas, David Clay of Missouri; 2 sisters, Kathy Newcome, Paola, KS, Diane Kessler, Blue Mound, KS; 16 grandchildren, Jessica Clay, Scott Parks, Ashley Jarrett, Alexis Krebs, Tyler Phillips, Dory Phillips, Patience Goforth, Christian Goforth, Brett Goforth, Ashland Parmeley, Tatlyn Parmeley, Curtis Parmeley, Kaycen Parmeley, Abigail Inselman, Kaedra Clay, Nathan Clay and one great-grandson. Preceding Marvin in death were his parents, an infant daughter, Crystal Gayle Clay, and one sister Patty Hooper. Memorial Services will be held Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Perry Assembly of God Church, 10 a.m. Inurnment will be in the family cemetery at De Soto, Kansas.
