Mary Buie

Mary L. Buie, 83, passed from this life on Friday, February 6, 2015 in Stillwater, OK. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater. The family has requested a private service.
Mary was born on April, 27, 1931 to D.I. and Alma (Taylor) McCullough in Oklahoma City, OK. She grew up in Oklahoma City and attended N.E. High school where she received her diploma. After high school, Mary moved to Stillwater to attend Oklahoma A&M. She received her bachelors degree in Home Economics and Childhood Development. While attending Oklahoma A&M, Mary met the love of her life, Larry Buie. After they both graduated, Mary and Larry set the date and were married on April 13, 1956 in Oklahoma City. They were then blessed with two children, Bruce and Susan.
Mary had many hobbies and loves throughout her life. She enjoyed taking care of all the plants and flowers in her garden. Mary loved spending time with her entire family. She loved the holidays, because it allowed her to decorate the entire house in the holiday theme and spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Family was the most important aspect of Marys life and would always put a smile on her face when with them. Mary was an amazing woman and will be missed by all.
Mary was preceded in death by both parents, D.I. and Alma McCullough; one sister, Marge Preston, and one twin sister, Carol Jean McCullough.
Mary is survived by her husband of 58 years, Larry Buie of the home; two children, Bruce Buie and wife Suzi of Loveland, CO., and Susan Duncan and husband, David of Stillwater, OK.; one brother Don McCullough of Houma, LA; three grandchildren, Jake Duncan of Stillwater, OK, Megan Buie of Loveland, CO., and Nick Buie of Loveland, CO.; three great grandchildren, Kherington Duncan, Phoebe Duncan, and Miles Duncan all of Stillwater.
