Mary Kathryn Allen

Mary Kathryn (Monroe) Allen 92, passed from this life Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Stillwater Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, January 4 at the Perkins Church of the Firstborn, 402 E. 92nd, Stillwater, OK. Arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home.
Mrs. Allen was born June 22, 1914 to O.R. and Maude S. Monroe in Springfield, MO. At the age of four, she and her family moved to Oklahoma where she lived in various towns until she moved to Stillwater in 2002 from her longtime residence in Norman.
In 1941 she married Recil H. Allen. She spent 22 years working in the banking business. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Brookhaven Baptist Church in Norman, and attended the Perkins Church of the Firstborn at the time of her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Recil, her mother and father, and two brothers, Robert and Fred Monroe.
Mrs. Allen is survived by a son, Martin R. Allen and companion Paula Bowden of Dallas, Texas, a daughter Recilla Harms and husband, Darrell of Stillwater, granddaughters, Talaura Harms of New York City, and Tyanna Bateson and husband, Curtis of Stillwater, and three great grandchildren, Brock, Boone and Brylee Bateson of Stillwater, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Baptist Childrens Home or Perkins Church of the Firstborn.
