Mary L. Wilson, 74, of Stillwater, passed from this life at Stillwater Medical Center on Tuesday, April 10. 2007. Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, April 14 at the Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home in Stillwater. Graveside services and burial will be at the Sentinel Cemetery, Sentinel, Oklahoma. Pastor James Cudd will officiate at both services. She was born at home in Sentinel on September 10. 1932, to Henry and Ida Reiter. She married Dwayne Wilson on November 30, 1952 in Sentinel, Ok.
She attended school in Sentinel, Ok. After graduating form Sentinel High School in 1950, she attended Southwestern College. Mary moved to Washington D.C. where she worked as a secretary while her fianc Dwayne was serving in the Korean War.
Mary and Dwayne lived in Oklahoma City, Ok, Memphis, TN and Arlington, TX before returning to Stillwater in 1963. She was the secretary for Dean Zelma Patchin at Oklahoma State University for several years, and then became the senior secretary for the OSU Child Development Labs.
She was the Alumni Treasurer for the Stillwater Chapter of Delta Zeta Sorority, and a member of the Order of Rainbow, as well as the Sentinel Methodist Church.
Mary loved to travel and enjoyed her many trips and cruises with friends and family over the years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren most of all, as well as working in her flower gardens, reading and playing cards. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister-in-law Dee Wilson, of Sentinel. She is survived by her son, Mark Wilson, Clinton; son Scott Wilson, Stillwater; granddaughter Allie Perez and granddaughter Carmelita, Tulsa; daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Kenny Hallman, Stillwater; grandson Jacob Hallman and his wife Amber, great granddaughter Olivia; and grandson Kelin Hallman and his fianc Megan; Stillwater. Surviving siblings include her brother Stan and his wife Angela of Richardson, TX, brother-in-laws Richard Wilson, Sentinel, Mac Wilson and his wife Martha, Irving, TX; sister-in-law Carolyn Smith and her husband Joe, Clinton, OK, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Scott Wilson, Kenny Hallman, Jacob Hallman, Kelin Hallman, Scott Moore, Anthony Moore, and Honorary Pallbearers Mark Wilson and Steve Wilson.
