Mary Nell Rains

Mrs. Mary Nell Rains passed from this life on Tuesday May 15, 2007 at the age of 70 years in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Mary was born in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma on November 20, 1936 to her parents Retus and Nellie Burch Jester. Mr. Kenneth Rains took Mary as is bride on June 22, 1959 in Wichita, Kansas. Mary graduated High School from Wynona High. She worked for Southwestern Bell as an operator for many years. She received many awards for outstanding attendance and service. Mary also worked for the Stillwater Medical Center for 10 years in the housekeeping department. Mary had many hobbies such as cooking, sewing and playing the piano. In her younger years she loved to ride horses. Although Mary is no longer with us her memory and legacy will be kept alive through the family and friends she leaves behind which include: Her husband of 47 years Kenneth Rains of the home, 1 Son: Tim and Tammy of Stillwater, Ok, 1 Daughter: Marsha and Scott Jackson of Stillwater, Ok, 3 Brothers: Vaughn Jester of OKC, Shelby Jester of Cushing, Ok. and Shirley Jester of OKC, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives, longtime friends, and neighbors. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister Imogene Willman and 1 daughter: Gwenetta Michelle. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday May 19, 2007 at Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Bethel Cemetery. Pastors Phyllis Brown, Daniel Sturgeon and Paul Bell will be officiating the services. Funeral Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home.
